Sunny Cui is a New York–based designer working across space, image, and identity. Trained in architecture, her practice spans experiential design, exhibitions, signage and wayfinding, environmental graphics, and branded environments.

Moving between architecture and graphic design, she is interested in how visual language takes shape in physical space—how narrative, material, and atmosphere can come together to create experiences that feel clear, immersive, and memorable. Her work treats design as a form of spatial storytelling, shaped by attention to composition, rhythm, and context.

She is currently a Senior Designer at 2x4. She holds a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture and has taught or served as a guest critic at Yale, Parsons School of Design, and Pratt Institute.

Outside of design, she is also a cellist, and brings a similar sensitivity to rhythm, structure, and emotion into her visual practice.

She is available for commissions, collaborations, and conversations. For inquiries, please get in touch here.
